Welcome to the Eco Club

Background

With the aim to promote environmental awareness and mobilise student’s participation for environment conservation, National Green Corps (NGC) ‘Eco-Club’ programme was initiated in 2001-2002. The main objective was to impart knowledge to children through hands on experience, about their immediate environment, interactions within it and the problems therein. The programme aims to inculcate proper attitude towards environment and sensitize children on issues related to environment and development.

Objectives

A club dedicated to:

To spread awareness about environmental pollution and to reduce pollution in the college campus
To use different media such as short films, audio, visual and print, advertisements, hoarding, posters, seminars, workshops, competitions, meetings etc. for spreading messages concerning environment and awareness
To prepare and organize students’ participation for preservation and conservation of environment
